Registering With Bering’s

My China Collection – Registering With Bering’s by Kristen Sheffey

Not only am I so excited to show you how I mix and match my china, but I also get to partner with one of my long-time favorite places to shop – Bering’s!

As a Houston staple for many years, I have grown up going with my parents and grandparents and have discovered there is really just about everything you need in their store. Big or small, dainty or heavy, they have it ALL! Also, another reason why I decided to register there for my wedding as it is truly a one-stop shop for all of your wedding needs. While I love living in Dallas, there is just really nothing quite like it. Whenever I visit Houston I make sure to make a stop back there to see what they have every few months because there is always something new!

Growing up going to Bering’s I always loved looking at their beautiful crystal and china assortment. I couldn’t wait to pick out my very own someday! However, when that day came, it was still a tough decision as they have so many pretty things and an extensive collection. I always admired both my Great Grandmother’s and Grandmother’s china. I knew I would love to incorporate it into my home as they bring back so many fun memories that hold a special place in my heart. I am so excited to use my Grandmother’s Royal Crown Derby Red Aves pattern and mix and match salad plates and chargers with the patterns I found at Bering’s. I linked the gold colorway above, but if you call or go in the store they have the red one pictured in this post.

I then decided to mix in my Great Grandmother’s china, Lenox Westchester. Bering’s does not carry this pattern but they have many similar styles in Royal Crown Derby and Herend to name a few. By using both of these beautiful patterns, I had a better idea of what I could work with! One of my favorite colors is navy and decided to go with the Royal Crown Derby Old Imari as my salad plate option. Along with this, I chose two fun chargers to mix and match – Arte Italica Vetro Gold Charger and Royal Crown Derby Service Plate Cobalt with Gold Band.

I love all of these patterns and prints because not only are they beautiful individually but I have so many different options to decorate my tablescape. Navy and gold are two of my very favorite colors and love showing off my personality in my china! Both colors are so crisp and know I will never tire of this style especially with so many different options to play with. I also plan on using the Arte Italica Vetro Gold Charger as a serving piece because it is just too pretty to only use during special occasions. I also adore my Reed & Baton silver place setting with my china and can also be found at Bering’s.

My crystal is also from Bering’s. Waterford retired the gold rim Lismore style but have been able to find it at one place linked here. Oh, and the wine glass – woohoo! I chose blue champagne toasting flutes because I love pops of color and they also tie together in a fun way with my china! I have my toasting flutes from my wedding posted below! All Herend and Baccarat pieces you can also find at Bering’s and have everything listed at the end of my blog post. They have an AMAZING Herend collection and is always where I go to pick out special knick-knacks or fun pieces to add to my collection!

A few other things I love about Bering’s…

My wedding book came from Bering’s and was so easy to personalize and make my very own. Everyone in their stationery department is extremely helpful and guided me in picking out my beautiful wedding book (pictured below).

It is also extremely easy to register or exchange items. You can register on their website or go to the store and someone from their amazing staff will help you! They also gift wrap which makes life so much easier especially not having to worry about having a fluffy bow or perfect paper – they’ve got you covered!  They also offer a one-time 20% completion discount off your registry for 6 months following your wedding.

Not only do they have a beautiful collection of china, silverware, and crystal, they also carry more casual home items and appliances. Brides – be sure to bring your fiancé along to pick out all of his grilling needs!

Bering’s made the registering process SO much easier. They have an incredible assortment and such friendly staff. I can’t wait to host more in the future so I can mix and match with my china and crystal for many years to come!
